Wedding Day was fantastic!
We started off bright and early with breakfast at the Bellagio buffet with a bunch of family!
Plate 1 was breakfast fixings.
Plate 2 was more random.
The Bellagio buffet was more expensive than the Flamingo buffet but had a much larger selection. We were extremely disappointed with the service… at both. The Flamingo took forever to pick up your dirty plates but was decent at refilling mimosas. The Bellagio refused to seat our party of 18 near each other even though there was ample seating and did a poor job at keeping champagne glasses full.
But the food was decent. The company was great. Jodus and I played musical chairs to see everyone.
After breakfast, we chilled a bit then I went to the salon to get ready with my mom.

I didn’t eat lunch. I just got ready. And drank champagne while getting dressed.
The following pictures were stolen from various family members off of facebook. For obvious reasons, taking pictures was the last thing on my mind!
The ceremony went off without a hitch! I started crying as soon as I grabbed my dad’s arm. It was short and very sweet. There was one instance of obnoxious rude annoying loud people screaming indecencies in the midst of the ceremony but I hardly paid attention.
I can’t wait to see our professional pictures! Our photographer was fantastic! I’m keeping my eyes peeled on her blog for our update!
The reception was great! It went by so fast! I hear everyone liked the food and took advantage of the open bar! It was truly a stress-free evening!
Our DJ did a great job. She got people dancing and played a good mix of music.
There might have been an incident with the cake. I’m still waiting for that photo to surface.
The lemon with raspberry filling cake was way too sweet for my liking. The chocolate with chocolate mousse was much nicer. And the amaretto filled one will be tried out in 1 year!
I seriously can’t believe how seamless everything seemed to go! I’m sure there were things wrong or not perfect but I was in newly-wedded bliss and didn’t notice a damn thing.
If I could do it all over again, the only thing I would change would be to make the reception longer which we didn’t do because of the cost and our budget. I would have liked to have stayed an extra day in Vegas as well but that was also a budget issue.
I’d also not have gotten fake eyelashes. They hurt the next day but I’m super sensitive and the glue really bugged me.
And my dress bruised my ribs, it was so tight. And my heels cut my heels but the shoes stayed on until the very end of the reception. Beauty is pain, right?
And looking at these pics, my shoulders are high and tight for most of them. And I have no neck. Oh well.
And I can’t get over my new last name! It’s so funny to see! And the boy can’t get over wearing a ring!
YAY! I’m married! To an amazing man!

“There might have been an incident with the cake.”
You bet there was an incident! LOL. I think you may have over-reacted after I got a little bit of frosting on your cheek….because 2 seconds later my entire face was covered with cake. Oh well…..it was all in good fun. I still LOVE you!
I had a blast at our wedding reception, and I think everyone else did too. I am sooooooo freakin’ happy right now!!

congratz! You look beautiful in your dress 🙂
Smashing wedding cake into your new spouse’s face is totally disrespectful when you realize where the tradition originated. It is said that the cake tradition is supposed to represent that throughout your marriage, you will “feed” each other and take care of each other. It’s also considered bad luck, and it’s said that couples who do this end up divorcing. I hope you’re not superstitious.
Not superstitious at all! Thanks for giving me insight into the tradition! I honestly had no idea.
I love your dress! Very Mad Men and retro!
