Bremerton Lights Up

Last night, we had the pleasure of going out to dinner with one of Jodus’ coworkers and her husband at The Boat Shed. (We’ve been once before for another one of his work functions!)

The excuse for going tonight was to see the Bremerton Yacht Club’s Annual Lighted Boat Parade going through the bay.

What we didn’t take into consideration when we made reservations for a window seat was this:

A big ole construction barge blocking most of our view. But my darling husband braved the cold to head out to the deck to try and take some pictures.

There were maybe 10 lighted boats that passed us – I was hoping for more but it was still a nice festive sight!

I enjoyed the scallop and shrimp penne, sopping up every last bit of oil in some crusty bread.

And he rocked one of the specials – an andouille sausage penne that was very flavorful.

While we were driving home from our wonderful evening, we took the long way and perused some neighborhoods, scoping out Christmas decor.

I’m not a fan of multicolor lights but I do like single-color light strands and of course, my white lights. We also debated icicle lights, statuaries, and candy cane lights.

And I decided that when we have a place to call our own, he can do this.

We randomly ran across this house but I had heard about it! It’s a local novelty! I guess the guy has been doing it for years! You tune in to the radio in your car and enjoy the show!

We only stayed for 3 songs but there was definitely more. We’ll be making another trip back again at some point this holiday season!
