Scramblin’

Similar to last night’s fudged dinner, breakfast and coincidentally packing lunches, proved to be exceedingly difficult due to the significant lack of food in our fridge.

I managed to squirrel together the last 2 eggs and the last 2 English muffins for us for breakfast.

I sure hope it holds me over because my lunch is also on the weak side.

Last night, for the first time in our townhouse, we turned on the one heater that we can see: in the kitchen. It didn’t do a whole lot as far as warming the house goes and it was kicking on high until we went to bed and decided to turn it off.

As far as we can tell, the only two other heaters are little baseboard heaters in each of the bathrooms. We can not find a heating unit in the living room or the bedrooms, though thermostats are in those rooms.

Curious.

Any ideas?

We are already dreading our bill. We know we are going to have to start heating this box regularly any day now. We slept with 2 down comforters, a quilt, and another small blanket on the bed last night. Getting out of there was incredibly difficult and I was reaching for my hoodie first thing.

Did the temperature actually drop or were we already getting used to the warmth that Phoenix offered so readily?
